Blinded by sun at your dinette or losing privacy in your RV bedroom? This small spring kit restores balance in shades 18" to 38" wide, so they roll smoothly and stay where you need them, day or night.
You're sitting in your dinette trying to enjoy dinner when the sun cuts across the table, blinding you. You tug the shade down, hoping for relief, but it won't stay put; it creeps back up or hangs crooked. Maybe it's your bedroom, galley, or hall window. Wherever it is, the problem feels the same. Small shades like these are supposed to block glare during the day and protect your privacy at night, but worn springs or a cracked autostop take that comfort away. Instead of fighting the shade every time the light shifts, you can pull it down once and know it'll stay. This kit includes both parts, so you're covered either way.
Small kits are made for RV shades between 18" and 38" wide. If you're really close to the max width, it won't hurt to go up to the next size. The only limit is the spring size and whether it fits inside your shade's roller tube. These shades need the right spring to roll evenly. So before you order, check the spring inside your shade. If the internal diameter measures 28 mm, this is the right kit. If you have a standard tape measure, that will be about 1-1/8", or a little bigger than the size of a quarter. If it measures closer to 11/16", about the size of a dime, you'll need one of the 17 mm spring kits instead.
Nothing stops a repair faster than missing hardware. This kit includes the spring, clips, screws, and endcaps, so you can fix the problem in one go and get your shade working like new. And all you need is 3 tools: a pair of pliers, a 1/8" Allen wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver.
